Bắp chuối tách phần vỏ bên ngoài, lấy phần nụ bên trong, tách bỏ phần tim đen cứng, ngâm nụ hoa chuối với nước có hòa tan nước cốt chanh, 1 muỗng cà phê muối khoảng 10 phút. Vớt nụ hoa chuối ra, rửa sạch lại với nước.
Hòa tan bột chiên giòn với 1/2 chén nước, khuấy đều. Cho nụ hoa chuối vào, nhúng ngập bột, cho vào chảo dầu ăn, chiên vàng giòn.
Gắp nụ hoa chuối ra rổ có lót 1 lớp khăn giấy để thấm dầu.
Tẻ bớt dầu ăn trong chảo, cho 2 muỗng canh nước tương, 1/2 muỗng cà phê ớt bột, 1 muỗng cà phê đường trắng, 1 muỗng cà phê hạt nêm chay vào, khuấy đều.
Cho nụ hoa chuối vào, đảo đều 1 phút thì tắt bếp. Bày món ăn ra đĩa và ăn cùng với cơm nóng.
